Colóquio de Física 2026 discute “How Can We Trace Noncommutativity? From Shadows to Gravitational Waves” | CCEN UFPB
O Centro de Ciências Exatas e da Natureza (CCEN) da Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB), por meio do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Física (PPGF), promove o Colóquio de Física com o tema “How Can We Trace Noncommutativity? From Shadows to Gravitational Waves”. A palestra será ministrada pela Profa. Dra. Narges Heidari. O evento ocorre no dia 04 de setembro de 2026, às 14h, na sala virtual.
Noncommutative geometry provides a possible framework for describing quantum-gravity corrections to black hole spacetimes. This talk focuses on how such corrections may appear in observable quantities, including quasinormal modes, null geodesics, black hole shadows, periodic orbits, and gravitational waves. Particular attention is given to how small changes in the underlying geometry can modify orbital dynamics and leave imprints on the phase and amplitude of gravitational-wave signals. These signatures may provide a way to test noncommutative effects through future gravitational-wave observations.
